Joey Chestnut remains the unmatched hot dog eating king.
On Sunday, once again in front of fans, Chestnut set a new world record, breaking his 2020 record of 75 hot dogs and buns by taking down 76 in Maimonides Park on Coney Island.
On the women's side, Michelle Lesco won her first Nathan's Famous Women's Championship, as she finished 30 3/4 hot dogs and buns to hold off Sarah Rodriguez. Reigning seven-time women's champion Miki Sudo did not compete in 2021, as she is expecting her first child.

Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest 2021 results, winners
1 p.m.: It is official: In his 14th career victory, Chestnut ate 76 hot dogs to set a new world record.

12:55 p.m.: Unofficially, Chestnut has surpassed his world record set last year with 76.
12:54 p.m.: Chestnut is now at 70 with 40 seconds remaining. Esper is up to 47 and Wehry is at 39.
12:53 p.m.: Chestnut has already passed 60 hot dogs with less than 3 minutes to go.
12:50 p.m.: Five minutes through the contest, Chestnut is out in front at 46, Esper is in second at 32 and Wehry is third at 24.
12:49 p.m.: Chestnut hits 40 hot dogs and buns with just under 6 minutes. No one else has hit 30.
12:48 p.m.: Chestnut is at 33 with Esper second at 22 and Nick Wehry in third at 18.
12:47 p.m.: Another minute passes and Chestnut continues to take these hot dogs down. He's up to 23 through 2 minutes. Geoffrey Esper is second at 16.
12:46 p.m.: Chestnut takes down 12 unofficial hot dogs and buns in the first minute. That puts him on his 2020 world record pace.
12:45 p.m.: And they're off. The men's hot dog eating contest is underway.
12:38 p.m.: Here he comes. Joey Chestnut. The reigning five-time champion here to defend his crown.
12:30 p.m.: The men's competitors are being introduced for today's hot dog eating contest.
12:12 p.m.: Eric "Badlands" Booker won the first chug contest ahead of the start of the hot dog eating contest.
12:04 p.m.: It's just about time for the start of the men's competition. Will Joey Chestnut be able to break the record he set last year of 75? He's certainly the heavy favorite to win this year.

11:47 a.m.: Final minute, Lesco is ahead at 28 with Rodriguez at 21 and Mele at 17. Katie Prettyman is the only other eater in double digits at 15.
11:46 a.m.: Lesco starting to pull away, now up with 25 over Rodriguez at 19 and Mele at 16 with 2 minutes remaining.
11:44 a.m.: Lesco is the first to hit 20 with just over 4 minutes remaining in the women's competition.
11:43 a.m.: Halfway through the women's competition, Lesco has 18, Rodriguez is at 15 and Mele is at 12.
11:41 a.m.: Three eaters have hit double-digits. Lesco leads at 14, Rodriguez is second with 13 and Larell Marie Mele is third at 10 with about 6 minutes left to go.
11:39 a.m.: Lesco finishes seven hot dogs in the first minute to take the early lead. Sarah Rodriguez not far behind.
11:37 a.m.: The women's competition is now underway. Michelle Lesco, the world ranked No. 9 eater, is the favorite to win this year.
11:30 a.m.: The eaters set to feast in the women's hot dog eating contest are being introduced ahead of the start of the 2021 competition.
