One of the biggest fights in Bellator history will take place Saturday night when Patricio Pitbull meets AJ McKee in the finals of the Bellator Featherweight World Grand Prix. Pitbull's 145-pound championship will also be on the line when the two battle inside The Forum in Inglewood, California.
Pitbull is on his second run as featherweight champion and has successfully defended his title five times during his current reign. He also added the lightweight championship to his collection in March 2019, making him arguably Bellator's greatest of all time.
McKee made his pro debut at Bellator 136 in April 2015, never fighting outside the promotion in his career. Considered a blue-chip prospect, McKee was brought along slowly by the promotion, showcasing impressive skills but never making the true jump to top-tier opposition until 2019, first beating former two-time champion Pat Curran before finishing all three opponents in the Grand Prix to land the Pitbull fight he's been angling for for years.
