UFC on ESPN 25 takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The card streams on ESPN+.
In the main event, “The Korean Zombie,” Chan Sung Jung (16-6 MMA, 6-3 UFC), takes on Dan Ige (15-3 MMA, 7-2 UFC) at featherweight. In the co-feature, Aleksei Oleinik (59-15-1 MMA, 8-6 UFC) meets Serghei Spivac (12-2 MMA, 3-2 UFC) in a heavyweight bout.

Casey O'Neill vs. Lara Procopio
Round 1 – O’Neill out quickly and pumps her jab. Procopio swings back and winds up in tight. O’Neill grabs the body and tries for the trip, but it’s not there. They battle in the clinch, but nothing really there. They reset back in the center, and Procopio lands a big right hand that snaps her opponent’s head back. O’Neill shakes it off, but that one took a toll. O’Neill grabs the Thai clinch but doesn’t land much before Procopio pulls away. They swing in the pocket, and Procopio lands a stiff jab. O’Neill clinches again, but Procopio able to spin her to the fence. Procopio keeps the body wrapped and trips the action to the canvas. O’Neill able to work her legs inside and kick away to create space. One minute left. O’Neill trying to press a bit late. Procopio changes levels and drives the action to the cage again. O’Neill defends well and actually gets a late takedown right at the bell. Still, MMA Junkie gives the first to Procopio, 10-9.
Round 2 – O’Neill with an early low kick. She’s working her jab and lands a right hand. O’Neill looking to press. She lands a nice right hand. O’Neill with a Thai clinch, but Procopio presses forward and drives the action to the floor. O’Neill works her legs high and is teasing a gogoplata, but Procopio works past the legs. O’Neill with an upkick and then more submission threats as Procopio settles back in the guard. Procopio has to back away, and O’Neill moves back to the feet. O’Neill pressing with punches, and the pace seems to have tired Procopio a bit. She looks for a takedown but comes up short. O’Neill presses het to the canvas and sets up on top. Knee on belly for O’Neill. She lands a few short punches. Procopio doing a good job of keeping her from advancing, but O’Neill is staying busy with short punches and elbows on top. Procopio to full guard and works her legs high. Nothing there, but O’Neill clears the limbs just as Procopio turns to the legs. O’Neill drops back and does the same, though neither can get the submission. O’Neill wisely scrambles back up to the dominant position. She smothers from the top and punches the body until the bell. MMA Junkie gives the second to O’Neill, 10-9.
Round 3 – O’Neill presses forward and looks to strike. She’s able tor each forward and score a trip. Procopio tries to scramble but finds her right arm trapped in the legs. O’Neill figure-fours it and is in a crucifix on the back. Punches and elbows coming in. Referee Chris Tognoni looking close. Shots aren’t big, but they’re adding up. Procopio desperate to pull her right arm free, and as it looses, O’Neill looks for the choke. Not there, but she transitions again. Brief mount, then to the back on the roll. She’s on the side, but she adjusts. Procopio works to her knees and then stands. She wants to slam O’Neill down, but O’Neill has the choke in place. She falls slowly to the floor, and O’Neill rolls her over. She’s out. Tognoni makes sure and then calls off the fight. Great finish.

Round 1 – Glenn with a few low kicks from southpaw. Leaping kick from Silva misses. He charges forward again, and Glenn lands a huge left hand to the chin. Silva is hurt and hits the deck. Glenn swarming with punches. Silva does battle his way back to the feet, but an uppercut drops him again, and this is over. Vicious finish.

Roque Martinez vs. Josh Parisian
Round 1 – Martinez stays in his opponent’s face off the glove touch. Parisian trying to move left, but Martinez pushes into the clinch and starts trying to dirty box. Parisian trying to frame with his right arm and make some space. Parisian finally pushes him away to reset, but Martinez immediately presses forward and is right back in the same position. Parisian still using the right arm to try and frame. Martinez does land a right hand over the top. Parisian with a knee inside. Parisian makes some space and lands two shots. Martinez smiles and lands two of his own. Parisian finally able to get off the cage. He’s got some damage on his face already. Martinez scores with a right hook and then three uppercuts. Parisian takes them well, but he’s certainly taking some damage here. Parisian tries to work a long jab. He’s coming alive late with some footwork and using movement to his advantage, but Martinez just wades forward and delivers heavy right hands before moving into the clinch. Parisian answers with a few knees and pushes him away. Parisian lost his mouthpiece. We replace it quickly and finish out the round swinging. MMA Junkie gives the first to Martinez, 10-9.
Round 2 – Martinez pressing quickly. Parisian working the jab and lateral footwork. He lands a front kick, but Martinez presses through it and moves to the clinch. Parisian able to switch to the outside. He drives a few knees to the leg. He’s looking for the trip. Martinez with short punches inside as he defends against the cage. Martinez digging underhooks. Parisian briefly releases to land a short elbow inside. Knees traded. Martinez starting to show some damage now, as well. Parisian knee lands to the cup, and we take a break. Parisian with a quick jab on the restart. Martinez moves inside and into the clinch. Parisian defends well and lands a few knees. He’s able to slip out and back to the center. They trade punches in the pocket. Parisian with a big elbow inside. He’s starting to gain some momentum. Parisian thinks takedown and works deep on a single. He has to let it go when Martinez grabs the neck and falls. Parisian spins out with relative ease and returns to the feet. They finish in the clinch. MMA Junkie gives it to Parisian, 10-9.
Round 3 – Parisian again looking to work the jab and move. Martinez rushing forward with big punches. Parisian countering with solid shots of his own. Major damage under the left eye of Parisian. Still, he’s popping the jab and moving well. Uppercut comes behind it. Martinez relentless with his forward movement. He lands a big right hand. Uppercut scores. Parisian turns off the cage and controls there. He wants the trip but can’t get it. Martinez spins him again. Parisian has the body wrapped and wants the takedown, but he can’t get his opponent off-balance. He does get the position reversed and now works from the outside. Two minutes left. Parisian tries fro the double. He can’t get his hands clasped. Finally he backs away. Martinez a tank moving forward. Parisian throws a kick up the middle, and it lands straight to the cup. He apologizes as soon as it lands. Martinez takes a brief break, but he’s right back to the aggression on the restart. Parisian backs to the fence and grabs a Thai clinch. He wants the takedown, but it’s not there. Parisian backs away with 20 seconds left. They trade punches to the end. Close one, but MMA Junkie leans toward Martinez, 10-9, awarding him the fight 29-28.

Matthew Semelsberger vs. Khaos Williams
Round 1 – Williams opens with a pair of low kicks. Semelsberger trying to counter over the top. Williams flurries with punches, but Semelsberger covers well. They reset, and Williams flurries again. Kick to the body scores, as does a big right hand that briefly buckles Semelsberger’s knees. He recovers as they work from the clinch. Battle for wrist control as knees are traded. Williams battling for head position, and Semelsberger’s nose dripping blood. They finally break and move back to the center. Williams still looking to flurry, but Semelsberger swinging back and scores with a nice right hand. Semelsberger lands a nice low kick, as well. Massive punches being traded between these two. Low kick for Williams countered with a right hand. Williams finishes with a flurry, and MMA Junkie gives him the round, 10-9.
Round 2 – They engage quickly again, and both men are firing bombs. Semelsberger having some success driving punches straight down the center. Williams throwing looping blows, but they’re coming in bunches and with heat behind them. Williams punches his way into a clinch and drives the action to the fence. Blood still streaming from Semelsberger’s nose, but he’s not backing down from the exchanges. Halfway through, and Williams slowing his output a bit. He lands a low kick but takes a counter over the top. Semelsberger high kick partially lands. Semelsberger unleashes a big right hand but catches a flurry of punches in return. They clinch, and Semelsberger lands the best shots as they exchange. Semelsberger with two straight punches late. Round ends on the feet. It’s a close one, but MMA Junkie leans toward Semelsberger, 10-9.
Round 3 – Williams busy off the top. He’s pressing forward and throwing in combinations. Williams front kick scores. He lands a right hand and slips the reply. Semelsberger keeping his guard high and lands a right hand. Another scores, but Williams answers with a few of his own shots. Blood still streaming down from Semelsberger’s nose. Williams remains the busier man, but Semelsberger still having some success. He scores with a couple of low kicks. They exchange in tight. Williams with a left hand and then slips out of the pocket. Semelsberger finally slowing a bit. Williams with combinations and then movement. Semelsberger loads up on a few big right hands but can’t land clean. One minute left, and both are still swinging hard. They exchange punches in the center of the cage. Semelsberger with a spinning kick. Williams slips a few punches and waves Semelsberger in for more. Semelsberger asks him to bring it. Williams with a right hand. They trade until the end. MMA Junkie gives the final round to Williams, 10-0, and awards him the fight 29-28.

Virna Jandiroba vs. Kanako Murata
Round 1 – Jandiroba in the center as both women bounce lightly and tease level changes. Jandiroba lands a big right hand that sends Murata to the fence. Jandiroba doesn’t follow. She scores again with the right hand. More follow. Big work early from Jandiroba, but Murata is able to slip free and stay upright. Murata fires two big punches from range but misses. Jandiroba aggressive but walks into a left hand. They clinch, and Murata able to control the position against the cage. Jandiroba has the arm controlled and tries to climb up for a flying attack but ends up slipping to the canvas. Murata sets up on top and immediately finds herself defending an armbar. Not there, but she goes to the triangle and then rolls belly down for another armbar. Murata spins with it but can’t quite extract the limb. She keeps stacking and finally does pull free, setting up on top, but Jandiroba immediately attacks again. Round ends, and MMA Junkie gives it to Jandiroba, 10-9.
Round 2 – Murata has some real damage around her right eye. Jandiroba in the center again as they start. She’s content to strike early, cutting off the cage as Murata moves on the outside. Murata trying to dart in and out of range, but Jandiroba getting the best on the feet. Murata decides to shoot, but Jandiroba stuffs it and pushes her opponent away. Jandiroba seems happy to strike as Murata’s right eye is closing. She’s leading with punches and landing with the right hand. Murata tries a flying knee but misses. Jandiroba having success with her hands. Murata sliding laterally to escape, and Jandiroba nearly tags her with a big high kick. Instead, it’s the punches that are doing the most damage. Round ends on the feet, and MMA Junkie gives it again to Jandiroba, 10-9. Doctor comes in between rounds and points to Murata’s left arm and waves off the fight. Damage came in that opening round submission sequence.

Aleksa Camur vs. Nicolae Negumereanu
Round 1 – Camur sets up in the center. Both men looking to box early. Camur showing nice head movement. Negumereanu with a few powerful punches that just miss the mark. Camur with a nice right to the body. He scores with a low kick, as well. Negumereanu is throwing with real power, but Camur just slipping for the time being. Front kick from Camur. Negumereanu answers with a big right hand over the top. Camur with a perfect two-punch combination. He’s moving cry well early. Camur grabs a Thai clinch but can’t keep it. In tight, Negumereanu lands a couple of big shots, though his nose is busted up a bit. Negumereanu wraps the body and is able to drag the action to the canvas. Camur turns to a knee and stands. He battles free and looks to strike. Negumereanu finding the mark a bit more now, and Camur’s corner wants him to be a little more cautious. They’re brawling now, and Negumereanu is verbally punctuating every strike. Punches traded on each exchange. Camur still getting the best of it but certainly playing with fire. They go toe-to-toe until the end, and MMA Junkie gives it to Camur, 10-9.
Round 2 – Negumereanu aggressive to start. He’s looking to pressure. Camur trying to move and keep space. He lands a big combination and slips away, but Negumereanu refuses to back away. He drives forward to the clinch, and they battle against the cage. Knees traded inside. Negumereanu controlling from the outside and leaning in, but he can’t get Camur off-balance. Both men with a few short knees. Camur trying to frame and push away. Negumereanu receives a few warning for grabbing the fence to hold his position. Referee Mike Beltran slaps the hand with another warning. Camur finally able to break free with about 90 seconds left. Negumereanu’s face showing some wear. He walks forward and lands a nice left hand. Camur answers with a big right. Negumereanu aggressive, but Camur with some nice head movement and clean counters, as well. Both men landing big shots until the bell. MMA Junkie gives it to Negumereanu, 10-9.
Round 3 – Negumereanu with a guttural yell to start the third. He’s aggressive again. Camur showing the better movement, but Negumereanu’s forward movement is a problem. Negumereanu lands a kick low, and we take a break. No time wasted on the restart. Negumereanu teeing off on the feet. Camur wants a takedown, but Negumereanu pushes him away and lands a big left hand. Camur swinging back and having some success, but Negumereanu just walks through them. Negumereanu is a machine. Camur slipping and striking well, but he’s taking he’s share of shots right now. Negumereanu lands a right hand. Another scores. They clinch, and Negumereanu pushes it to the cage. He lets go to land a left hand. They continue trading punches. Camur shoots, but he’s stuffed again. Negumereanu just a wrecking ball. Camur has popped him with some solid shots, but nothing stops the advances. Negumereanu into the clinch again and drives the action to the fence. They battle for position there. Camur with a few shoulder strikes in tight. Negumereanu warned again about grabbing the cage. Beltran pauses the action and warns him again, quite sternly. Camur with a nice combination on the restart. They trade until the end, and they immediately embrace at the final bell. Heck of a scrap. MMA Junkie gives the final round to Negumereanu, 10-9, and awards him the fight 29-28. Very lucky to have not lost a point.

Round 1 – Brown takes the center and looks to press as his corner calls for “focused aggression.” He lands a kick to the body. Lima moving well on the outside, refusing to stay stationary. Brown kicks to the body again, but it’s blocked. Lima counters with a low kick that scores. Lima back to the calf kick. Brown still holding the center and keeping his hands high. He works the jab. Lima to the calf again, and that lead leg is reddened. Another one scores. Brown presses forward with two precise punches. Another low kick from Lima nearly spins Brown. One minute left. Lima with a ja and back to the leg. Brown kicks low, then high. Jabs traded. Brown misses over the top with an elbow. He’s trying to turn up the heat late. They end on the feet. MMA Junkie gives the first to Lima, 10-9.
Round 2 – Lima out quickly and seems to want to pressure. Both feint in the pocket. Lima lets his hands go. Brown trying to cut off the cage, but Lima moves well. Brown engages in a clinch, but Lima changes levels for a single. Not there, so he pulls away. On the restart, Lima keeps working the leg. He ducks in and wraps the body, but Brown hops on one leg back to the cage. Lima tries to adjust, but he eventually has to let go and back away. Brown turning up the heat a little, but Lima matching him in output. Brown keeps throwing, and a right hand lands clean down the middle. Lima crashes to the floor, out cold. Vicious.

He lifts Silva in the air and tries to slam him down. Silva stay upright. Turman jumps the back, but he’s too high. He slips off, and they battle for position in tight. Kimura grip for Turman. he creates a scramble. Silva dealing with it well, but he’s on defense. Turman on the back and has the body wrapped. He throws Silva to the floor. Silva immediately pops back to his feet, but Turman is still on his back and leaps up to attack. Hooks are in. Silva defending well, but he’s carrying his opponent’s weight. Turman with a few short punches from the back. He wants to get the choke, but he’s too high again, and Turman tripods and shakes him off. Turman tries to turn to an armbar, but it’s not there. Silva in the dominant spot and throwing punches. Turman controls the wrist and wants the armbar. Silva pulls it free and starts punching. He lands clean with a huge right. Two lefts follow, and Turman is out cold. Wow.

Erosa high kick blocked. Both men with quick hands early. Choi with the big left to the chine that drops Erosa. He’s hurt, and Choi jumps on top with punches. Referee Mark Smith gives Erosa time to recover, but this over. Quick, impressive finish for Choi.
