NASCAR at Pocono live race updates, results, highlights for Sunday's Explore the Pocono Mountains 350 - Sporting News

If the second of two races at Pocono Raceway is half as thrilling as the first, then NASCAR fans everywhere will be thrilled.

Saturday's race featured a tight competition late between Hendrick Motorsport teammates Kyle Larson and Alex Bowman, with the former finally overtaking the lead with just four laps remaining. For a time, it seemed the "Tricky Triangle" would be the site of Larson's fourth straight NASCAR Cup Series victory — until a blown tire sent him skidding into the wall and allowed Bowman to snatch victory from his teammate. Larson ended up finishing ninth in Saturday's race.

Said Bowman after the race: "I hate to win that way, but hell, yeah, I’ll take it."

The ordering of the finish isn't inconsequential for Sunday's Explore the Pocono Mountains 350, either: The top 20 finishers in Saturday's Pocono Organics CBD 325 had their final positions inverted, meaning Chris Buescher — who finished 20th on Saturday — will take the pole. Though Larson technically is slated for 12th in Sunday's lineup, he will be moved to the rear as a result of driving a backup car.
