To say Brock Lesnar didn't take his loss to Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel gracefully would be an understatement. An enraged Lesnar returned to SmackDown after the loss to brutally attack Reigns but didn't stop with the universal champion as Lesnar also attacked WWE official Adam Pearce, resulting in a suspension. On Friday night, Lesnar returns from that suspension and Reigns will surely be in his sights once again.
Lesnar's return was announced during the previous episode of SmackDown. Sami Zayn had just won a battle royal to determine Reigns' next challenger for the universal title when his celebration was cut short by Kayla Braxton's announcement that Lesnar's suspension had officially ended.
While Lesnar vs. Reigns is a long-rumored choice for the next WrestleMania main event, there is also the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view set for Jan. 1. Friday night will likely determine if Zayn will get his shot at the title on New Year's Day or if Lesnar will be seeking his revenge at the first WWE event of 2022.
