On Saturday night, Marvin Vettori gets the rematch with Israel Adesanya he has called for since ending up on the short side of a 2018 split decision. Vettori will challenge Adesanya for the middleweight championship in the main event of UFC 263 from Glendale, Arizona.

Vettori has gone undefeated since losing a split decision to Adesanya in their first meeting, loudly demanding the rematch until his five-fight winning streak finally put him in position to challenge Adesanya. Adesanya went on from his win over Vettori to claim the 185-pound championship and defend it multiple times before failing in a bid to add the light heavyweight championship to his collection, losing a decision to Jan Blachowicz in March.
