For the second consecutive week, Edge got the better of universal champion Roman Reigns on last week's installment of SmackDown. Just 48 hours before the two meet for the universal championship at Money In The Bank, Edge will team up with Dominik and Rey Mysterio to take on Reigns and Jimmy and Jey Uso in a six-man tag team match on Friday's edition of SmackDown.
Edge hadn't been seen since WrestleMania when he unexpectedly returned late last month and attacked Reigns. Since then, Edge has had Reigns' number and received some assistance last week. It appeared that Edge was outnumbered when the Usos came down to the ring with Reigns. However, the Mysterios returned and took out the Usos with steel chair shots to the back. In addition, the Mysterios helped hold Jey Uso in place while Edge retrieved the bottom post of a steel chair. Edge was able to lock in a crossface with that bottom post as Reigns could do nothing but watch from the top of the ramp.
Friday's show will be live from the Toyota Center in Houston and starts WWE's return to touring, and is the first SmackDown with fans in attendance since the start of the pandemic. CBS Sports will be will be with you all night with recaps and highlights of all the action from Houston.
