With the June 20 Hell in a Cell pay-per-view drawing near, WWE used Raw to officially book the first match at the event to take place inside the Cell during Monday night's edition of Raw. During the contract signing between Drew McIntyre and WWE champion Bobby Lashley, McIntyre threw down a challenge to place the match inside the WWE's iconic structure, a challenge Lashley quickly accepted.

McIntyre is facing some big risk at the upcoming event, however, as Lashley and MVP added the stipulation that a McIntyre loss would mean he will not be eligible to challenge for the WWE title so long as Lashley holds the belt. McIntyre, desperate for one last shot at Lashley, accepted the terms and the match is now set as Lashley tries to finally take McIntyre out of his life.

CBS Sports was with you all night with recaps and highlights of all the action from the ThunderDome inside Yuengling Center in Tampa.

McIntyre and Lashley agree to Hell in a Cell match

When it was time for McIntyre and Lashley to sign the contract for their Hell in a Cell clash, only McIntyre came to the ring initially. As McIntyre was about to put pen to paper, MVP and Lashley interrupted to make a slow walk to the ring with their female "acquaintances" in tow. Lashley laid down the condition that, should McIntyre lose at the pay-per-view, the challenger would never receive a shot at his title again. McIntyre interrupted to immediately accept.

McIntyre's response came with a condition, however, as he demanded the match take place inside Hell in a Cell. Lashley and MVP accepted, with Lashley saying their story would end with McIntyre tucking his kilt between his legs and running away. McIntyre then used a sword to cut the table in half before the two engaged in a staredown.

No complaints about a WWE contract signing not ending in the expected brawl, even if McIntyre chopping a table in half was a little on the silly side -- though nothing compared to the show ending segment involving Alexa Bliss and Shayna Baszler (more on that to come). MVP did great work throughout the show, including a tremendous backstage segment with Kofi Kingston later in the night. Lashley and McIntyre was a lock to take place inside the Cell, so getting that "on paper" was just a needed step in the story. Grade: B

What else happened on WWE Raw?

The Viking Raiders won a tag team battle royal, earning a shot at the Raw tag titles. John Morrison entered the match solo to represent his team with The Miz, getting eliminated second after Lince Dorado, who was also out by himself on behalf of Lucha House Party. The Raiders last eliminated Randy Orton of RK-Bro to win the match.

Jaxson Ryker def. Elias via countout when Elias ran from the ring and into the backstage area.

Ricochet vs. Humberto Carrillo ended in a double-countout after Carrillo hit a Spanish fly from the ring apron to the outside. Sheamus, who was on commentary for the match, celebrated neither man winning.

Jeff Hardy def. Cedric Alexander via pinfall with a swanton bomb. Alexander mocked Hardy's trademark pose, giving an opening for Hardy to hit a Twist of Fate to set up the finish.

Nikki Cross & Asuka def. Charlotte Flair & Rhea Ripley via pinfall. Flair and Ripley argued backstage early in the show, with Ripley saying she respects Cross, unlike Flair. This led to a situation where the two were challenged to team up against Cross and an opponent of her choosing. Ripley and Flair argued and brawled throughout the match until Flair hit Ripley with Natural Selection, allowing Cross to sneak the pin.

Mansoor def. Drew Gulak via pinfall with a pin reversal. Mustafa Ali confronted Mansoor backstage earlier in the night, saying Mansoor may think he is ready, but would need to actually be ready for Gulak to try to cheat and take advantage of the rookie. Mansoor's pin came when he countered a Gulak pin in which Gulak tried to grab the tights, just as Ali had said he would.

Kofi Kingston def. Riddle via pinfall after hitting Trouble in Paradise. Kingston was talked to by MVP before the match, with MVP accusing Kingston of allowing KofiMania to die. Randy Orton came to ringside to support Riddle, but walked off while shaking his head after Riddle picked up the loss.

Shayna Baszler was a guest on Alexa's Playground. She refused to apologize for calling Lilly "just a stupid doll," choosing instead to repeat the phrase before throwing Alexa Bliss' doll and eventually stomping on it after a brawl. Fire began shooting up along the entrance ramp as Baszler ran backstage. After trying to lock herself in an office, Baszler began seeing Lilly's reflection in a mirror before the screen went black and Baszler screamed as the show went off the air.
