As more and more of us are taking to the skies — and as airlines have been slow to resume meal service — it might be a good time to review what foods you can and can’t pack for your flight.
The TSA still considers spreadable foods and cheese to be under the 3-1-1 rule. You might as well not bring it.
And what’s the one questionable item? That’s a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
I’ve seen some TSA agents allow it, but other sandwiches have been seized.
But if you’re bringing aboard solid cheese, it’s ok. Sauces are still a no-no.
And what about pies and cakes? At one point, the TSA considered items like pecan or apple pies to be a liquid, but these days, the pies are allowed, along with brownies, cookies and doughnuts.
