Two of the best fighters in the sport's most dangerous division will face off in Saturday's UFC Fight Night main event in Las Vegas.
Former interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier will look to bounce back from a one-sided title loss when he faces Dan Hooker in this battle between top five-ranked fighters at 155-pounds. A native of New Zealand, Hooker has won six of his last seven and believes he is one step away from a title opportunity entering the biggest fight of his career.
Poirier, meanwhile, will need to bounce back from a 10-month layoff which included hip surgery. The co-main event is expected to produce similar fireworks when the enigmatic welterweight Mike Perry looks to snap a two-fight losing skid against Mickey Gall.
