School districts across New York State began counting ballots at 5 p.m. Tuesday for the annual vote on school budget proposals and candidates for their school boards.

All voting was done by mail-in or drop-off ballots and many districts plan to spend the night opening hundreds of envelopes by hand. While some districts expect to report results Tuesday night, others said it could take days to finishing tallying the votes.

The following is school election results on the proposed budgets, propositions and candidate elections in 37 districts in Erie and Niagara counties.
