With an opportunity at Cody's TNT Championship at stake, a massive Battle Royal headlined the in-ring portion of this week's show.
Jurassic Express, Luther, Christopher Daniels, Sonny Kiss, Brandon Cutler, Peter Avalon, Colt Cabana, Billy Gunn, Wardlow and MJF made up the field. The latter bided his time, hiding behind his massive bodyguard in an attempt to avoid elimination.
Luther, then Kiss were sent packing early, followed shortly thereafter by Cabana. The Dark Order recruited the frustrated Cabana, and the fun-loving veteran competitor appeared open to such a development.
During the break, Avalon and Cutler teed off until their eliminations, while Gunn's unlikely run continued. Back from the timeout, Marko Stunt inconceivably eliminated Daniels, only to be tossed to the floor by Wardlow.
Luchasaurus and Wardlow paired off, the heavyweights clubbing away at each other until MJF attacked the wrestling world's favorite dinosaur. Luchasaurus and Gunn were both eliminated, while Orange Cassidy rolled into the ring after suffering a beating from Santana and Ortiz, officially entering the match for the first time.
Cassidy and Jungle Boy eliminated MJF and Wardlow, creating a babyface showdown as the final two combatants remaining.
A back-and-forth encounter gave way to Jungle Boy delivering a headscissors that eliminated Cassidy and earned him the victory.

Analysis
Battle Royals are notoriously difficult to pull off to great effect. There are so many guys involved, so much punching and kicking. Unless the storytelling is on point, they are fairly run of the mill.
Despite some interesting and entertaining pairings, this was essentially every other Battle Royal ever.
MJF was a bright spot, though the teases of a split with Wardlow feel a bit premature. Then there was the AEW Dark rivalry between Cutler and Avalon revisited and Gunn's nice run.
Jungle Boy winning was the right call given the strength of his pay-per-view match with MJF. Winning in this setting helps him recover from his loss there and doing so while eliminating his rival was a nice touch. The match with Cody will be a major moment for young Jack Perry, and if there is any performer capable of elevating his star, it is the TNT champion.
Cassidy was great here in limited action, and the tease of a rivalry with The Inner Circle could mean big things for the King of Sloth Style.
