Double or Nothing served as the inaugural pay-per-view for All Elite Wrestling in May 2019. Now, the event returns after a huge year for AEW that has seen the promotion establish itself as a player on cable television while finding a consistent direction as a company. The main card gets underway on pay-per-view at 8 p.m. ET with the Buy-In pre-show kicking off at 7:30 p.m. The conditions for this year's event are far different from 2019, however, with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic forcing AEW to hold Double or Nothing in an empty Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida instead of the scheduled location of the MGM Grand Garden Arena -- the site of Double or Nothing 2019 -- in Las Vegas.
The venue sits next to TIAA Bank Field, where a Stadium Stampede match pitting Matt Hardy and The Elite against The Inner Circle will take place. Also on the card, Jon Moxley will defend the AEW world title against Brodie Lee, Cody and Lance Archer will battle to become the inaugural TNT champion and Nyla Rose will put the AEW women's title on the line against Hikaru Shida in a bout void of disqualifications or countouts.
