In The Price is Right fan lingo, “El Skunko” refers to a show in which all six games are lost, and nobody wins a showcase due to both contestants overbidding.
We almost had our own El Skunko this week, due to widespread losing. As late as 10:30 PM Eastern time Saturday night, everyone who placed a fake bet this week was in the red. Many of them extremely so. But late-night parlay wins pushed two players into the positive:

These standings also include a correction from Week 8: ElliotMoore has 1 more point than last week, and HerdCountry941 has 1 less. This is because I failed to manually enter one of ElliotMoore’s bets into the tracking system. That bet won, which gave him a higher money total for Week 8, which in turn gave him moved him up one place in the Week 8 point standings, at HerdCountry941’s expense.

You can bet up to 25% of your stack in a week, which means you can lose 25% of your stack in a week. The mighty bullsonparade96 did exactly this, losing a massive 1502.94 units. Speruche and ULhothot also took losses over the default maximum of 250 units. As a result, the race is much more tightly packed than it was a week ago, though BOP still has a huge lead from his 4011-unit Louisiana-Monroe win a couple weeks ago.
camweed12 and McIntyre2K7 are now below 250 Ų total, and can bet their remaining bankroll on one bet if they wish to.

In addition to the pulling the Bank Error In Your Favor card this week, ElliotMoore was also the biggest beneficiary of the Clemson-Florida State ending:
This nonsense turned a 100-Ų parlay loss into a partial win. HerdCountry941 also had a small gain from this play, as made the over 54 hit.

I interpret these as “LOL, I expect this bet to win.” As in, two players gave Kansas a better than 25-to-1 chance of beating Oklahoma State. And if Liberty can lose to Louisiana-Monroe, why not UMass? If there’s some other intention here, let me know in the comments.
Tuesday night MACtion and the CFB playoff rankings start this week. I can’t wait to see how they explain ranking Oklahoma ahead of Cincinnati because of superior “game control.”
Auburn-Texas A&M is the only likely matchup of Top 25 teams in Week 10. In the AAC, Houston might be ranked when they visit USF next week. SMU, who might lose their ranking from the same game, is at Memphis. Cincinnati will definitely be ranked when they return home to play Tulsa. Ditto Notre Dame, who hosts Navy. The other two AAC games are Temple-East Carolina and Tulane-Central Florida.
