Bobby Lashley may have lost the WWE championship to Big E two weeks ago, but the former champion has not stopped thinking about regaining the title for even a second. Lashley will get his chance to regain the belt on Monday night when he meets Big E in a championship rematch to kick off Raw.
Big E won the title when he cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase right after Lashley injured his leg in a title defense against Randy Orton. The two men clashed on Raw the following week in a triple threat match with universal champion Roman Reigns, a match Reigns won. A third meeting took place in six-man tag team action at Sunday's Extreme Rules pay-per-view, with Big E and his New Day teammates beating Lashley, AJ Styles and Omos after Big E hit Lashley with the Big Ending to score the pin.
A furious Lashley demanded a chance to face the champion in the opening match of Raw after the loss, a challenge Big E quickly accepted.
