LANSING, MI – Several players brought home at least $1 million, including a player in Michigan, but there was no winner of the $580 million Powerball jackpot for the drawing held on Wednesday, Sept. 29.
That means the drawing on Saturday, Oct. 2 will be worth $620 million with a cash option of $446 million. The $620 million jackpot will be the sixth largest in the history of the game and the tenth largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history.

Powerball winners for Sept. 29:
· While there was no grand prize winner, eight tickets sold matched all five white numbers drawn to win $1 million. Those tickets were sold in California, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma and Wisconsin.
· The players in Michigan, Ohio and Oklahoma also played the Power Play option, which increased their winnings to $2 million.
· In Michigan, the $2 million winner was the largest prize won in the state. It was sold at the Mobil gas station located at 9190 Pelham Rd, Taylor.
· There were 1,614,353 tickets sold that won at least $4 in the drawing. In Michigan, 49,981 tickets sold won at least $4 in the drawing.
Powerball is offered in 44 States, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. Players select five white numbers from (1 to 69) and one red ball (1 to 26). Tickets cost $2 each.

· The next Mega Millions drawing is Friday, Oct. 1 with an estimated jackpot of $34 million and a cash option of $23,7 million.
· The next Lotto 47 drawing is Wednesday Oct. 2 at 7:29 p.m. with a jackpot of $1.05 million. Deadline is 7:08 p.m. that day.
· Thursday’s Fantasy 5 jackpot is worth an estimated $100,000. The drawing is at 7:29 p.m. Deadline is 7:08 p.m.

The last players from Michigan to win a Mega Millions or Powerball jackpot is the Wolverine FLL lottery club which claimed a $1.05 billion jackpot in March. With their winnings, the group plans to give back to the community.

The ticket was purchased at the Speedway in Hartland, but the winner never came forward to claim the prize. The money instead went to the state’s School Aid Fund.
