sisilihya.blogspot.com

A meeting on a bikeway project that is one component of plans to revamp Colo. 119 will take place virtually Aug. 30, giving the public a chance to share their feedback on the commuter path.

The meeting will be hosted by Boulder County’s Community Planning and Permitting Department and the Colorado Department of Transportation. It will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m., according to a county news release.

At this public meeting, staff will discuss the conceptual design of the planned off-street, multi-use paved path that is anticipated to run between Longmont and Boulder. The release said people who listen in will learn about potential connections at the north and south ends of the path. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback on the design concepts at the meeting.

Plans to upgraded Colo. 119 include bus rapid transit and intersection improvements. Construction on the $253.3 million project is slated for 2022 and 2023.

People who are interested in joining the meeting can register to attend at boco.org/CO119August30. The meeting will be recorded for later viewing for those unable to attend. For more information on the meeting, people can contact Alexandra Phillips, Boulder County bicycle planner, at 303-441-4520 or aphillips@bouldercounty.org.
