In Boys Golf yesterday, one coverage area school advanced on to the Class 3A state meet next week in Marshalltown. Monticello finished as the runner-up to Solon by just two strokes 330-328 down at the Flint Ridge Golf Course in Burlington. The Panthers Justin Recker was the medalist with a 75. Connor Lambert shot a 81, an 85 for Bo Kramer, 89 for Ty Kehoe, 91 for Blaine Brighton and a 105 for Kaden Kiburz.
Today the rest of the District meets take place around the state with tee-off times of 10:00am.

West Delaware senior Elias Tibbott will be at the Waverly Municipal Golf Course.

At the Gates Park Golf Course near Waterloo, Beckman and Cascade competing as teams.
1A-
At the Pheasant Ridge Course near Cedar Falls Isaac Zirtzman of Maquoketa Valley along with the teams from Ed-Co, East Buchanan and Starmont.
Boys 1st round Soccer matches from last night:

Cascade beat Clayton Ridge 2-1 for their first ever postseason win.
Anamosa lost to North Fayette-Valley 10-0.
Beckman blanked Monticello 10-0.
2A-
West Delaware had their season ended by Waverly-Shell Rock 16-0
Independence was clipped by CP-U 2-1.
Western Dubuque was shutout by Dubuque Wahlert 10-0.
