The world and majority of America is rightfully disheartened and disgusted by the fact that 68 million Americans still voted for a lifelong pathological liar, con artist, fraud, and felon whose lies, dereliction of duty, criminal negligence, abdication of his oath of office and narcissistic megalomania has led to the deaths of over 240,000 Americans, the destruction of the economic growth he inherited from the previous administration and his attempted dismantling of our Democracy.
These voters can be lumped into three groups.
1. Greedy sociopathic millionaires and billionaires who would eagerly trade democracy and our Constitution to defend a wannabe authoritarian despot and their bought and paid for Congressional shills. All to preserve their own tax evasion scams, deregulation, and packing the courts with Federalist Society judges who will rule for the profits of the corporate plutocracy over the protections of We the People.
2. Neo-Nazi Klansmen, racists, white supremacists, and domestic terrorists, many of who have been arrested for instigated the riots, violence, burnings, and killings and for planning to murder police, governors and blow up bridges as they fly their Trump flags on pickup trucks like America’s version of a Hillbilly Taliban or Vanilla ISIS.
3. The largest group is, unfortunately, the poorly educated, low information, older white evangelical Fox News viewer, brainwashed by 20 years of Right Wing lies, propaganda, debunked conspiracy theories, and gaslighting demagoguery to vote against their own economic, social, environmental, and healthcare interests. This cult-like following worships Trump because he hates the same people that they have been programmed to hate.
The brutal reality is that America must confront, expose and scorn this despicable cult of Trumpism then de-program, educate and embrace those who have succumbed to it, with love, compassion, civility, and actual Christian values. There is nothing America cannot achieve when we all unify as one Nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty, justice and equality for all.
