Dwight Grant vs. Stefan Sekulic: Welterweight
Winner: Dwight Grant
Winning Method: Dwight Grant wins by split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)
It was a difficult decision, and Grant was forced to hang on until the end in a viscous guillotine choke for the last 30 seconds of the fight. But surviving it made the difference, though he led on strikes just 35-33, and Sekulic had a fight control advantage of 2:04-0:35. A very tough way to lose for Sekulic and he’ll have an argument he got hosed, as the two judges that gave Grant the second round made the difference here.
