Having to rebuild your weapon loadouts has been described on the patent as a poor, or unsatisfying experience for the player.
The latest filing of this patent was on November 17, 2020. However, this patent is related to other applications in 2015, 2016, and September of 2019. In addition, the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops III in 2015 introduced the gunsmith. The gunsmith introduced fans to a more detailed way to customize your weapons.
