Moving day at the 2020 U.S. Open has come and gone, and there's a new golfer atop the leaderboard heading into the final day of competition.
Matthew Wolff scored a 5-under 65 on Saturday to gain sole possession of first place. He had an incredible start to the round, scoring five birdies in his first nine holes to take a commanding lead in Round 3. He settled for a bogey on the third-to-last hole but finished the day strong with yet another birdie.
If Wolff can follow up his Saturday performance with a similarly dominant outing on Sunday, the second-year pro can make his first professional win a major. That said, Sunday could be the toughest day of competition yet with the greens slicker and faster than any prior day of competition (for reference, only seven golfers scored an under-par score on Saturday).
And there are still several golfers within striking distance who will aim to spoil his day. The prime suspect to do that is Bryson DeChambeau, who remained at 3-under for the tournament after going par in Round 3. Louis Oosthuizen (1-under) is the only other golfer to go under par for the tournament with a 2-under par 68 in Round 3.

U.S. Open updates, highlights from Saturday's Round 3
4:48 p.m.: Nice short game from Hideki Matsuyama.
4:46 p.m.: Some afternoon highlights from moving day at the U.S. Open:
3:55 p.m.: And there goes Schauffele again.
3:34 p.m.: Xander Schauffele showing everyone how it's done.
3:15 p.m.: Matthew Wolff is on a roll.
2:57 p.m.: A three-stroke lead could be insurmountable at this stage of the U.S. Open.
2:11 p.m.: This is the football equivalent of punting a ball 20 yards then having it bounce another 30.
2:55 p.m.: Zach Johnson puts another eagle on the board on the par-5 ninth, but not by much.
1:29 p.m.: That's how you work your way back toward par.
1:21 p.m.: Out of the rough, into the hole.
12:51 p.m.: Sungjae Im scores the first birdie of the eighth hole, and from a precarious position:
12:44 p.m.: Count 'em: 1-2-3-4.
12:36 p.m.: Some early-morning highlights.
12:32 p.m.: Disaster.
12:10 p.m.: Staying par on this course, in this tournament, is nothing to turn your nose up at.
Noon: Brian Harman with the incredible bunker shot. It's play like this that separates these golfers from those who couldn't make the cut.
11:50 a.m.: Shane Lowry would have preferred the eagle no doubt, but setting up for a very makeable birdie isn't a bad consolation.
11 a.m.: Lucas Herbert with the excellent wedge to get into the hole — that's extremely difficult in the rough with such a steep bank.
10:50 a.m.: An excellent hole-out by Patrick Cantlay:
