NEW BERN, Craven County (WCTI) — Food Lion will allow employees to wear masks with the American flag on them, according to a post on the corporation’s Facebook page on Friday night.
“Food Lion has the utmost respect for the American flag and has a proud, long history of partnering with and supporting military organizations and communities,” the statement reads.
The company says it has been listening to associates and customers and the mask policy in its uniform standards; it says they made masks available to be worn as a part of the uniform as COVID-19 spread.
