Roman Reigns had hoped he could avoid defending the universal championship at Fastlane, instead wanting to focus all his attention on WrestleMania challenger Edge. Instead, Daniel Bryan was able to beat Jey Uso in a cage match last week to secure a shot at Reigns and the title at the March 21 event. Friday night, Reigns and Bryan will sit down to sign the contract for their Fastlane clash. Contract signings in wrestling rarely run smoothly, and Reigns -- with Uso by his side -- has used every opportunity to punish those who choose to stand against him.
Will Bryan emerge from the contract signing unscathed? Will The Tribal Chief again demand to be acknowledged? And will Edge make his presence known as he continues to focus on turning his Royal Rumble win into a chance to end Reigns' run?
What else will go down once this week's episode of SmackDown begins at 8 p.m. ET? Check out a short preview of this week's show below, and scroll a bit further for live results and updates throughout the broadcast on Friday evening.
