LAS VEGAS – MMA Junkie is on scene and reporting live from Saturday’s UFC 260 event, and you can join us for live play-by-play and official results beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET (4:30 p.m. PT).

UFC 260 takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and early prelims on ESPN+.

In the main event, heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic (20-3 MMA, 14-3 UFC) puts his title on the line in a rematch with Francis Ngannou (15-3 MMA, 10-2 UFC), whom he beat by unanimous decision in January 2018.

Abu Azaitar vs. Marc-Andre Barriault

Round 1 – Azaitar to the center as both men paw out some early jabs, but the pace picks up quickly. Punches traded from both before they move into the clinch. Barriault works to the outside, but a low knee earns a timeout from referee Jerin Valel. Azaitar out quickly on the restart and just misses a big right hand. He continues punching and lands a nice left hand before moving into the clinch again. They grind in the position, but it’s active. Azaitar throwing knees and punches before Barriault is able to switch to the outside and pull away. Azaitar seems to get the best at range, as well, with a few nice right hands finding the mark before he pushes inside again. Two minutes left. Azaitar keeping his opponent against the fence but also finding time to strike. Barriault again turns to the outside and pulls away, but it’s Azaitar who tags him with a low kick and then remains active with his hands. Barriault’s face reddened, and he’s showing the wear. Still, he’s trying to engage. He’s just getting outworked. Round ends, and MMA Junkie gives it to Azaitar, 10-9.

Round 2 – Barriault a little more aggressive to start, and he lands a right hand. A front kick scores, followed by a flurry of punches from Barriault. Azaitar walks forward and tries to get his volume high again. Punch from Azaitar lands to the groin, and we have another quick break. Valel warns both fighters, and we start again. Low kicks traded. Both men trying to go first on the punches. They move in tight and just start swinging in close. Azaitar lands clean, and Barriault staggers a bit. Wild pace here. Azaitar briefly thinks takedown but backs away. Barriault looks for one of his own and gets the trip, but Azaitar able to pop back up and pull away. Two minutes left. Both men are clearly tired from a relentless pace. Azaitar lands a nice uppercut, but Barriault answers over the top with a right hand. Traded punches in tight. Huge right from Barriault. Azaitar is really slowing right now. Barriault starting to pick him apart a bit. Uppercuts inside. Straight right scores. Azaitar has lost a lot of zip. Round ends, and MMA Junkie gives it to Barriault, 10-9.

Round 3 – Azaitar’s left eye busted up a little but, and it’s gut check time for both men. Barriault seems the fresher man to start, and he’s pressing the pace. Straight right scores. Another right hand lands. Azaitar staggers but stays upright. He’s using the fence to help him balance. Azaitar’s mouthpiece comes out, and he reaches down to grab it. Mistake there. Barriault keeps attacking, and Valel hovers close but can’t stop it. Once they reach a neutral position, he stops it to replace the mouthpiece, but Barriault has now takes top position and is looking to strike. On the restart, Barriault advances to mount. He’s dominating now. Big punches coming in. Azaitar rolling and trying to survive, but he’s getting balsted. Azaitar is able to turn to his knees, but he can’t stand, and he settles to his back once again. Barriault advances again to mount and looks to strike. Big shots landing. Azaitar trying to buck and roll, but Barriault’s base is solid. Azaitar rolls and exposes his back. He turns again and is desperate to get back to hs feet, but Barriault is just absolutely smothering him and blasting away with punches at every turn. Azaitar showing heart, but this is close to getting stopped. With just seconds left, Valel makes the call. Azaitar doesn’t like it and shoves Valel away when he comes in to check on him.

Omar Morales vs. Shane Young

Round 1 – Young with an early inside low kick. He’s shifting laterally on the outside and looking for angles. Morales patient in the center, tracking and looking for an occasional jab. Morales lands with a low kick to the cup, but Young says he’s OK to continue. Morales high kick partially lands on the restart. Young shoots inside and walks through a knee to get into the clinch. Morales defends the takedown and then slips behind his opponent and lifts him in the air and slams him the the canvas. Young pops right back up to his feet and spins inside and battles to switch to the outside. Morales stays with it and turns him back to the fence. They continue trading position there while also battling for underhooks. Young pulls back to the center in the final minute. They trade a few punches but move back to the clinch, breaking just at the bell. MMA Junkie gives the first to Morales, 10-9.

Round 2 – Young with a few early low kicks. He ducks down with a well-timed advance and trips Morales to his back. Morales able to battle up but can’t quite get the sweep, so they return to the feet. Young trying to press, but it’s Morales who lands a nice low kick and then shifts to his right on the outside. Jabs traded. Morales high kick blocked. Young tries again for a takedown, but it’s not there. Young digs to the body, and Morales misses a big knee in reply. Young controlling the center, and he lands a few punches to the body, but he’s struggling to land anything big. Morales trying to turn up the pace a little. He misses a high kick. Two jabs score. Right hand lands. Young moving well with the shots, but Morales is starting to find a groove. Right hand scores before another high kick is blocked. Bell sounds, and MMA Junkie gives it again to Morales, 10-9.

Round 3 – Young opening up aggressively in the third. He pushes with punches from the center, but Morales is all too happy to answer. Morales chops the legs a bit and fires big punches over the top. Young changes levels and is looking to get the action to the canvas. Morales defends well against the fence and eventually wraps the body ad actually scores his own takedown. Young refuses to stay there, working quickly back to the feet. He tries to return the favor, but it’s not there, and they move to the center. Morales chops the legs a bit once again. Young trying to close the distance, but Morales is pushing him away with relative ease and then scoring with kicks to the legs and punches down the middle. Morales with a crisp jab. Young trying tp press, but Morales retreating well and looking to counter. Young pressing, but Morales answering with volume and just looks a little fresher. Morales throwing wth power in the closing seconds. Young drives into the clinch, and they pull apart just at the bell. MMA Junkie gives the final round to Morales, 10-9, and awards him the fight 30-27.

Modestas Bukauskas vs. Michal Oleksiejczuk

Round 1 – Bukauskas with an early spinning kick to the body. He’s trying to move well. Oleksiejczuk presses with a big flurry, and he’s looking to bullrush. Lots of movement early, and lots of punching. Oleksiejczuk pressing forward and fires a big left hand. It’s constant pressure from him. Bukauskas dealing with it well, but there’s clear danger. Oleksiejczuk walking forward and staying right in his opponent’s face. Bukauskas continues to move well and stings him with a counter. Oleksiejczuk is stunned a bit. Bukauskas capitalizing with more punches, but he’s careful to over commit. He misses on a big right and is tagged by a huge left. Both men have landed clean. Oleksiejczuk ducking repeatedly to slip the right. Will see if Bukauskas adds a knee behind it. Oleksiejczuk continues to pressure and lands a nice left to the body. Spinning backfist from Bukauskas blocked. Spinning kick from Bukauskas to the body to close. MMA Junkie gives a good first to Bukauskas, 10-9.

Round 2 – Oleksiejczuk again pressing, but Bukauskas there to meet him with a right hand. Oleksiejczuk seems the more powerful fighter, but Bukauskas is moving well and countering. Oleksiejczuk with a nice left hand to the body. He continues to chase and lands another left to the body. Bukauskas continues to throw the big right but can’d find a home for it. Oleksiejczuk staying right in his opponent’s face. He slips the right hand and lands the counter left over the top. Straight left scores. Bukauskas tries to score with the knee but just misses. He’s moving well, but Oleksiejczuk is the one landing more frequently. Bukauskas scoring with the jab but misses the big right behind it. Oleksiejczuk with constant forward motion and finding a home for the left. Bukauskas scores with a sneaky little side elbow, but Oleksiejczuk walks through it. Bukauskas high kick blocked. He lands a big right hand that does stun Oleksiejczuk briefly, but he can’t really land clean on the follow in the final seconds. Another good round, but MMA Junkie gives it to Oleksiejczuk, 10-9.

Round 3 – Oleksiejczuk again aggressive to open. Bukauskas still with plenty of spring in his step. Bukauskas lands a right hand, but Oleksiejczuk battles bck and scores with one of his own, as well. Both men still landing big shots. Oleksiejczuk is the aggressor, and he digs to the body again. Bukauskas moving well laterally on the outside. Oleksiejczuk wraps the body and briefly thinks takedown, but it’s not there, so he presses the action to the fence. Battle for position there, and they trade short punches. Bukauskas gets off the cage with two minutes left. He’s active with punches as they action carries on. He scores with the right hand. Left lands. Oleksiejczuk finally maybe slowing just a touch, though he lands a big right, as well. Bukauskas answers. They’re both teeing off. Oleksiejczuk to the liver, and Bukauskas is hurt. He covers well and recovers, but that got him. Oleksiejczuk thinks takedown, but it’s not there. Bukauskas with a kick to the body. They tee off until the end. Tough, tough fight to score. MMA Junkie leans toward Bukauskas, 10-9, and awards him the fight 29-28. Could easily go the other way.

Jared Gooden vs. Abubakar Nurmagomedov

Round 1 – Gooden with his hands low as he shifts laterally. Nurmagomedov patient in the center with his hands high, likely looking to move forward foe the takedown. Gooden working the jab and moving. He looks confident on the feet and slips a few punches before firing back. Nurmagomedov misses a wild hook and can’t grab the body. Gooden staying loose on the feet. He complains of an eye poke. Referee Mark Smith calls time, but we return to action quickly. Nurmagomedov moves forward but can’t hold control. Gooden sticking and moving with the jab, though Nurmagomedov does make him pay with a crisp two-punch combination. Nurmagomedov lands a kick to the body, as well, and then pushes inside for the takedown. Gooden defends well and slips away. Two minute remain. Gooden still jabbing and slipping, but Nurmagomedov starting to turn up the aggression a bit. Front kick from Nurmagomedov, followed by a left hand. Jabs traded. Left hand from Nurmagomedov scores, followed by a kick to the chest. Round ends on the feet. MMA Junkie gives a close one to Nurmagomedov, 10-9.

Round 2 – Nurmagomedov clinches early but can’t keep control. Gooden trying to stick and move with the jab, but Nurmagomedov having success of his own on the feet. Gooden has done a good job of avoiding the takedown, but Nurmagomedov is doing some damage with punches. Gooden can’t really land much behind the jab. Nurmagomedov briefly clinches but can’t hold. He lands a big punch as they break. Gooden definitely stunned a bit. He’s trying to shake it off and move. Nurmagomedov high kick blocked. Nurmagomedov striking not as slick as his opponent’s but it’s landing. Nurmagomedov scores with a few punches as his opponent tries to retreat. One minute left. Nurmagomedov with the left hand. Gooden still moving well but looks a little frustrated. Round ends on the feet, and MMA Junkie gives it again to Nurmagomedov, 10-9.

Round 3 – Spirited start from both fighters. Nurmagomedov finally changes levels and gets in deep on a takedown. Gooden up to the challenge though and works quickly back to his feet. Nurmagomedov shoots again, and he gets the action to the canvas. Gooden tries to grab the neck as he falls, but it’s not there. Nurmagomedov initially in side control, though Gooden works to guard. Nurmagomedov happy to set up and work from there. He’s controlling the positioning and staying heavy on top. He advances past a leg, and Gooden trying to punch the body a bit from his back. He wants to work the hips, but he’s been pressed down and stuck on his back. Nurmagomedov with short punches, as well. It’s not a lot from either guy, but it is keeping Nurmagomedov in the dominant position. Smith watching closely, but both guys are active enough to stay there. Time winding down. Gooden just absolutely can’t get back up. Round ends, and MMA Junkie gives it to Nurmagomedov, 10-9, giving him the fight 30-27.

Fabio Cherant vs. Alonzo Menifield

Round 1 – Menifield with a quick right and another right behind it immediately into a clinch. He grabs hold, and Cherant grabs the neck. Menifield lifts him and slams him to the canvas. Cherant not letting go of the head right now, and he’s got his feet on the cage, but he’s in danger of getting finished with the Von Flue. Menifield keeps the squeeze in place to pressure the neck. Cherant trying to create some space, but it’s not there, and he has to tap.

Round 1 – Mullarkey moving well to open, firing in a combination and looking to set the pace. Worthy light on his feet, as well, pumping out the jab. Mullarkey with a leaping left to the chin, and it lands clean. Worthy stumbles and faceplants. Mullarkey follows with punches, and this is over with a quickness. Wow.

Miranda Maverick vs. Gillian Robertson

Round 1 – Both women light on the feet. Maverick pumping her jab and changing levels. Robertson ducks inside but gets pushed away before she can grab the body. Maverick working straight punches and lands with a big left, as well. Robertson fires out a high kick that’s blocked. Maverick having success with quick hands early. Robertson continues to flash out the kicks, as well, and she lands to the body. Robertson engaging, but Maverick seems to have a little more snap on her punches, and she’s using more volume, as well. She rips a combination to the body and head. Robertson does land a nice right hand up top, but Maverick is firing in bunches. Maverick catches a kick and trips Robertson to the floor. She can’t hold her there long, though, and they reset on the feet. One minute left. Maverick with a crisp combination, and Robertson’s face showing a little wear. Maverick changes levels and drives through for a quick takedown. They scramble up at the bell, and MMA Junkie gives it to Maverick, 10-9.

Round 2 – Maverick out quickly on the feet again and looking to strike, but this time Robertson is able to slip underneath and get inside and drag the fight to the floor. It’s half-guard for Maverick, and she’s looking to buck and roll. She does a good job of creating a scramble, but Robertson is quick and slips around to the back. Maverick tries to turn again, but Robertson is adjusting well and maintaining top position. Maverick looks dangerously close to getting free, but she never quite pulls herself free. Maverick finally tries to stand, and she gets up to her feet. She tries to use the cage to peel her opponent away, but Robertson slips again to the back and drops down, dragging Maverick with her. Robertson really hasn’t worked in any submissions, but she also has had the dominant position throughout. Maverick tries to punch backward to the opponent behind her. Robertson gets the left around the neck briefly, but Maverick able to peel it away and spin inside and stand. Less than 30 seconds, but Maverick is coming out swinging. She lands a few and then shoots. They end in the clinch. MMA Junkie gives it to Robertson, 10-9.

Round 3 – Maverick again pushes forward with strikes. She backs Robertson to the cage and lands a few clean shots. She’s throwing combinations and keeping the pressure high. Robertson just leans down and grabs the leg, but she can’t get it. They reset, and Robertson shoots from range. Maverick stuffs it and is able to slip around to the back. Robertson tries to scramble, but Maverick is on top. Robertson rolls to her knees, but Maverick is heavy on top and lands a series of hammerfists. Robertson turns again to her knees. SHe’s trying to escape, but Maverick knees her to the body. Robertson turns again. She’s on bottom, but she’s able to get the armbar in position. She tries to extend, but Maverick able to pull her limb free. In the ensuing scramble, Robertson works to the back, but she can’t get her hooks in place. That allows Maverick to roll again and get free and move back to the feet with less than a minute. Maverick shoots inside on the restart, and Robertson tries to grab the neck as she falls to a seated position. Not there, and Maverick pulls away and kicks the legs a bit. Robertson scoots forward and tries to grab the legs, and they end there. MMA Junkie gives the final round to Maverick, 10-9, awarding her the fight 29-28.

Thomas Almeida vs. Sean O'Malley

Round 1 – O’Malley with a quick kick to the legs and two straight punches. He’s light on his feet to start and setting the pace to start. Sharp low kick from O’Malley. Almeida with his hands high and patient to start. O’Malley with a front kick to the body. Almeida with a few punches that come up short. Spinning back kick from O’Malley lands to the body. Almeida with a big right that O’Malley slips. Almeida in the center and looking to press, but he’s just not pulling the trigger. O’Malley with a big kick to the body. He goes to the leg. High kick lands fro O’Malley, and Almeida is hurt. Left hand scores, and O’Malley tries to walk off with his opponent seated against the cage. Referee Mark Smith says to fight, and Almeida crawls to his feet. O’Malley picking his shots. He looks very comfortable, but he’s not rushing. He tries a spinning wheel kick but misses and gets pushed over, but he scramble sup. Almeida with some damage around the left eye, but he seems to be OK. O’Malley with a few high kicks that partially land. Almeida trying to press, but O’Malley is seeing it all. We end on the feet. MMA Junkie gives it to O’Malley, 10-8.

Round 2 – O’Malley switching stances and fires a kick to the body. Almeida with his hands high, but he’s just able to get inside his opponent’s range. Stinging low kick from O’Malley. Almeida kicks high, but it’s blocked. Almeida low kick trips O’Malley to the floor, but he pops right back up. O’Malley with the stomps to the legs, and he mixes in some punches in between. O’Malley with a straight left that lands. Almeida kicks the legs, but O’Malley tags him with two punches and a front kick to the body. O’Malley hangs his hands and showboats a bit. Almeida engaged and looking to strike, but the distance is proving an issue. O’Malley keeping range and using his length to his advantage. Jab lands from O’Malley, and he turns up the pressure. O’Malley slips on a knee and hits the deck. Almeida can’t quite get past the legs, and he ends standing over his opponent. Still, MMA Junkie gives it to O’Malley, 10-9.

Round 3 – O’Malley still incredibly relaxed on his feet and seems unconcerned with anything that might be coming his way. He’s switching stance and fires a kick to the body. Almeida presses but eats a right hand. O’Malley goes to the legs, as well. O’Malley starting to ramp it up a bit. Combinations landing. Uppercuts are clean. Punches come in over the top, as well. Almeida just can’t get close enough to him to really land without taking damage, as well. O’Malley low kicks land again. Left hand. Clean right hand scores. Almeida us moving forward and throwing, but he just can’t really get anything going. Big left hand sends Almeida to the floor. He’s hurt, and O’Malley again wants to walk away. Again, Smith says carry on. O’Malley does, and a devastating right hand is on the money and puts Almeida out cold. Vicious.

Vicente Luque vs. Tyron Woodley

Round 1 – Woodley rushes out and fires a big right hand and moves immediately to the clinch. He tries to drop down for a takedown, but Luque digs underhooks and spins him to the fence. Battle inside. Short strikes traded. Woodley able to reverse position, but Luque breaks free. Woodley fires a few huge right hands on the restart. Luque covers well, and he needed to. Woodley changes levels and shoots, but Luque again defends perfectly and drives the action to the fence. Woodley battles in tight, and it’s a stalemate, so they move to the center. Big right hand again. Luque counters and lands a left. Woodley is hurt. Luque lands another. Woodley stumbles and grabs the cage to stand up. He lands a big right hand. Luque swinging back. What an absolute war. Woodley swing sans misses and stumbles to the floor. Luque follows, and locks in the D’Arce choke. Woodley trying desperately to work free. He’s angling to flip, but he can’t roll. Luque keeps the squeeze on while he has half-guard in tight, and Woodley has to tap. What a fight.

Round 1 – They touch gloves, and Ngannou sets up in the center. He paws a jab and opens with a low kick. Miocic on the outside, moving laterally. Ngannou inching his way closer. He fires to the body and then kicks the leg again. Ngannou answers with a light kick to the leg. Ngannou lands an overhand right and then pulls back to the center. Ngannou patient as holds the center. Ngannou shoots in and changes levels. Ngannou sprawls perfectly and then scrambles as they move. He scores a takedown of his own. Punches fires. Miocic has to move. he gets up and takes a few more shots before he turns inside and is able to pull away and reset. Ngannou patient as he again resets. He fires out a high kicks that’s blocked. Corner calls for him to breathe and relax. Right hand for Ngannou. He misses another overhand. Low kick from Miocic, but Ngannou lands a right over the top. Ngannou not forcing anything. Round 2 – Ngannou misses a big right. He’s in the center, and his corner calls for patience. Ngannou low kick. Miocic trying to work in range. Straight left from Ngannou scores. Miocic is hurt. He digs in and swings back, and he lands, but Ngannou still on the attack. Another huge left lands, and Miocic crashes to the floor. Nasty hammerfist seals it. Coffin nail to finish in brutal fashion. Ngannou is your new champion.
