No one has received new positive test results for COVID-19 in Douglas County, as of Saturday.

An update from the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team said the total number of cases remains at 180. Of those, 163 people have received positive test results and 17 are presumptive. There have been 3 deaths. No one is currently hospitalized for COVID-19 locally. 7 people are in isolation. 10,986 people have tested negative for COVID-19 in the county.

The update said for the fourth week in a row, Douglas County has successfully met the county metric requirement for schools to reopen to in-person learning, according to the Oregon Health Authority and Oregon Department of Education’s Ready Schools, Safe Learners initiative. The guidelines require a county to be under 1 percent test positivity rate for a minimum of 3 weeks. This is also the first week since June 21st where there have been 3 or less cases in the county.

The next drive through testing clinic with the Douglas Public Health Network will be Tuesday in Roseburg.
