NASCAR at Dover live race updates, results, highlights from Sunday's Drydene 311 - Sporting News

sisilihya.blogspot.com

One NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover International Speedway down, one more to go. The third Saturday-Sunday doubleheader of the 2020 season ends today with the second Drydene 311 in as many days.

The results of the first Dover race suggest Joe Gibbs Racing is the organization to beat Sunday, as Denny Hamlin won Saturday's race ahead of JGR teammates Martin Truex Jr. and Kyle Busch. Kevin Harvick and Chase Elliott, who were among the favorites entering the Dover race weekend, finished Saturday's race fourth and fifth, respectively.

NASCAR set the starting lineup for Sunday's race at Dover based on those race results, with the top 20 finishers inverted to begin Race 2. So Hamlin will start Sunday's race 20th behind Truex and Busch. The inversion put Matt DiBenedetto and Ryan Newman on the front row to start Sunday's race.
