Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West welcome a new child: Psalm
Following the recent birth of her fourth child, Kim Kardashian West revealed that she is not interested in having anymore children. She said “I feel so complete. I really do feel like four is the perfect number for me. I feel so full, in the best way. But I’m done.” The couple’s three other children are their daughters, North West and Chicago West, as well as their son Saint West.
According to Harper’s Bazaar, Kim Kardashian West’s third and fourth children, Chicago West and Psalm West, where each born via a different surrogate. The identities of both of their surrogates have been concealed from the public. The television personality was pleased with her choice of a surrogate, saying “My surrogate is such a nice person, my family absolutely loves her and I’m so grateful.” She added “[We] are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give.”

As recent as January of this year, Kim Kardashian West was adamant that she had no plans to have a fourth child. She told E News that “None of that was true. But I’ve been really open about it and talked about it on our show, so I don’t know.”
The decision to name their baby “Psalm” is the latest example of Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West openly embracing their Christian faith, as the name is a reference to the Book of Psalms from the Bible. Kanye West has referenced his religion numerous times in his music and recently said that he would only produce religious music from now on. His next album will be a gospel record titled Jesus is King.
How Psalm got his name
Kardashian West gave fans some insight into how the couple came up with their youngest child’s name. According to People, Kardashian West said “his name was gonna be Ye. Kanye doesn’t like Ye cause Ye doesn’t mean anything, and Kylie called at the last second and was like, ‘No!’ Psalm and Saint sound good together, and the kids call him now Psalmye.”
“Ye” is Kanye West’s longtime nickname, which he currently uses as his Twitter handle, as well as the title of his eighth studio album. Kardashian West added that the child’s name was originally going to be Yehezkel, as that’s the only biblical name that begins with “Ye,” but Kylie Jenner convinced her sister that they should give the child a different name.
