SAGINAW, MI - Polls close at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, for Michigan’s 2020 primary elections. At stake are party nominations for political seats locally and statewide, as well as tax issues for many municipalities and school districts.
Election officials say some voting results could be delayed due to a large number of absentee ballots that must be counted. Check back here for the latest election numbers as they are tallied. Primary election winners and projected primary election winners are in bold.

Atherton Community Schools sinking fund renewal
The district is seeking a $11.3 million bond proposal, continuing a bond set to expire in 2021 that has been in effect for roughly two decades.

Clio Area Schools sinking fund renewal
The district is asking for a smaller 0.5 millage on its renewal after narrowly passing a $40.6 million bond in May. The sinking fund will extend through 2030 if approved.

Goodrich Area Schools bond proposal
The district is asking voters to consider approving $20.93 million bond proposal, which will keep the current property tax levy at 7.75 mills per year. This will extend the current bonds until 2032 instead of expiring in 2027.
