The production company behind “Price Is Right” said on Monday that it would take a break from taping the hit show after the sudden death of host Drew Carey’s ex-fiancée, reports said.
The popular daytime game show has been postponed for this week and may be delayed until March 2 due to the death of Amie Harwick, who was found dead after she fell off the balcony of a Hollywood Hills home, according to Fox News.
Harwick, 38, a Los Angeles family therapist, apparently plummeted from a third-floor balcony to her death early Saturday, according to a news release from the LAPD.
Her ex-boyfriend, 41-year-old Gareth Pursehouse, was taken into custody and charged with murder.
The pair had recently broken up. An order of protection had been issued at some point, but was expired at the time of the incident, according to Deadline.
Carey remembered his former fiancee in a Twitter post on Monday.
“I hope you’re lucky enough to have someone in your life that loves as much as she did,” he wrote.
